Overview
The Master of Science in Data Science and Management program is an in-depth 2-year program covering a wide spectrum of areas associated with business and technology, combined. You will thus learn many aspects of data, including its structure, security, and analysis as well as algorithm concepts, enterprise strategy, and behavioural elements. By the time you complete the program, the business knowledge and analytical and technical expertise you acquire will make you a professional data scientist with skill sets that will create multiple employment opportunities.
Number of seats: 200, with seats for reserved category candidates as per the norms of the Govt. of India.
MSDSM Learning Mode: The Master's degree program will be conducted in blended learning mode, that is-
MSDSM Live Lectures: 14-15 hours per week, 2 hours per day on weekdays and 4 to 5 hours on Saturdays. The weekday timings- 7 pm. to 8 p.m., and then 8.15 p.m. to 9.15 p.m. Saturday timings- 10.45 a.m. to 11.45 a.m., 12 noon to 1 p.m., 2.45 p.m. to 3.45 p.m., and 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. These are tentative timings and may change.
MSDSM Campus Lectures: 15 days on each of the campuses (a total of 30 days on campus). This is the mandatory in-person contact period. The purpose of this is to provide direct interaction with peers and faculty and avail of research facilities at the campuses.
MSDSM Course Modules: There will be a total of 6 trimesters, covering basic to advanced courses.
During the first 4 trimesters, some of the broad topics that will be covered include AI, Machine Learning, Database Management Systems, Probability and Statistics, Mathematical and Statistical Methods, Managerial Economics, Research Methodology, Managerial Communication, Organizational Behavior, HR and Marketing Management, Ethics, Legal Aspects of Business, Business Analytics, etc.
In the fourth and fifth trimesters, you can select Electives from the advanced courses offered by the two Institutes, and in the final semester, you will work on a project under the guidance of faculty experts from both Institutes. The project report is essential to getting the degree.

Evaluation: There will be online assignments, quizzes, and an exam at the end of a trimester.MSDSM Eligibility requirements
Academic Qualifications: You should have a B.Tech./B.E./BS/B.Pharm./B.Arch./B. Des./B.F.Tech./4-year BSc/M.Sc./MCA/MBA.
Also acceptable is an equivalent Degree with at least two courses in Maths and one in Computer Programming at the qualifying degree level.
Qualifying Exam Score: In the qualifying exam, you should have acquired a First class or 60% or 6.0 CPI/6.0 CGPA (on a scale of 10). A relaxation in the marks is given for those applying in the SC/ST/PwD category as per the norms of the Govt. of India.
Standardized Test Score: You should have a valid CAT/GATE/GMAT/GRE/JAM Test score obtained anytime in the last three years. If you do not have it, then you need to appear for the DMAT, that is, the Data Science and Management Aptitude Test, which will be conducted online as well as in physical mode in June 2024.
Note- If you appeared in any of the standardized tests and are yet to receive the result, you are eligible to apply, but must give the result by 1st July 2024. MSDSM Application procedure

Once you have registered, you can log in and apply. Before doing so, scan the following documents and keep them ready for uploading in jpeg, jpg, or png format with the file size not exceeding 1MB -Application Fee
The non-refundable application fee has to be paid online. The fee is-
For Indian applicants: Rs. 1770/-.
For International applicants (including OCI/PIO/NRI: Rs. 2300/-.
In case you are appearing for DMAT, then you also have to pay the additional fee of Rs.590/-.

If you appeared for more than one Test, namely, GATE/CAT/GMAT/JAM/GRE/DMAT, then the best percentile score among all the exams will be considered. If you are shortlisted, you have to appear for an interview (online and in physical mode) to be conducted by a panel of faculty members of IIM Indore and IIT Indore.
