Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering and Technology (CIPET) was established in 1968 under the Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India.

It offers training to Indian and International students across the globe for the growth of plastic and allied industries. Admission 2024

CIPET has announced admissions 2024 into the following courses:

Diploma in Plastics Mould Technology (DPMT)- Duration: 3 Years (6 Semesters).
Diploma in Plastic Technology (DPT)- Duration: 3 Years (6 Semesters).
Post Diploma in Plastics Mould Design with CAD/ CAM (PD-PMD with CAD/CAM)- Duration: 1 1/2 Years (3 semesters).
Post Graduate Diploma in Plastics Processing and Testing (PGD-PPT)- Duration: 2 Years (4 Semesters)

Fee Details:

For DPMT: Rs. 16,700/- per semester.
For DPT: RS. 16,700/- per semester.
For PGD-PPT: 20,000/- per semester.
For PD-PMD with CAD/CAM: 20,000/- per semester.
Students Insurance Policy: 100/- per year.
Examination Fee: 200/- per paper.
Supplementary Examination Fee: 250/-.
Admission Fee: 1500/-.
Caution Money Deposit: 500/-.
Alumni Fee: 150/-.

Eligibility Criteria

You have to fulfill the following eligibility criteria for admission into Diploma, Post Diploma, and Post Graduate Diploma Courses:

For Diploma in Plastics Mould Technology: You should have passed 10th Class. And there is an age limit. If you have appeared for the final exam and are waiting for results, you may also apply.
For a Diploma in Plastics Technology: You must have passed the 10th Class. And there is no age limit. If you have appeared for the final exam you can also apply.
For Post Diploma in Plastics Mould Design with CAD/ CAM: You must have passed the Diploma in Polymer/ Mechanical/ Tool/ Mechatronics/ Tool & Die Making/ Automobile/ Industrial/ Plastics/ Production/ Petrochemicals/ Instrumentation Engineering/ DPT/ Technology or equivalent. And there is no age limit. If you have appeared for the final exam and are waiting for the result, you can also apply.
For the Post Graduate Diploma in Plastics Processing and Testing: You must have passed a Degree in Science. If you have appeared for the final exam and are waiting for the result, you may apply. And there is no age limit.

Selection Process

Selection is done based on the performance in the CIPET Admission Test 2024 which will be held on 09th June 2024. Shortlisted candidates will be displayed on the Institute's website. The selected candidates for admission must deposit the tuition and other fees at the specified date on the Admission/ Counselling call letter.

Admission Procedure

For admission to 2024 into CIPET, you need to apply online through CIPET Website . The application for admission into each course is Rs. 100/- for General/ OBC/ Others, For SC/ ST is Rs. 100/- and, For North Eastern Region is Rs. 100/-.

You need to attend the CIPET Admission Test. The test will be conducted for 100 Marks and the exam will be 1 hour. It is a computer-based exam and the exam paper consists of Multiple Choice Questions and there will be no negative marking. CIPET Admission Test Syllabus:

For DPT & DPMT: General Knowledge 25 Questions, Science 20 Questions, English 05 Questions.
For PGD-PPT: General Knowledge 20 Questions, Science 10 Questions, English 10 Questions, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Maths, etc 10 Marks.
For PD-PMD: General Knowledge 20 Questions, Science 10 Questions, English 10 Questions, Polymers/ Plastics, Toolsroom, Industrial, etc 10 Marks.
