Leelabai Thackersey College of Nursing, known in short as the LT College of Nursing, of SNDT Women's University, has opened applications for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Course for the next academic year. This is a Bachelor's Degree program of four years after clearing the Class 12 (H.S.C.) exam. The course for women is offered at the Churchgate campus, which has all the required infrastructure and facilities, including a library, an auditorium, a medical centre, hostel accommodation with mess, etc. The college has entered into a collaboration with Silver Innings Foundation, an NGO which provides need-based services for the elderly.



About the B.Sc. Nursing Course

This is a 4-year undergraduate degree program leading to a B.Sc. Nursing Degree. The course will be taught by qualified faculty in English medium. Admission to the 50 seats is based on an entrance exam and a personal interview. With the college's vision to ensure excellence in nursing education, on completing the course, you will get career opportunities as a nurse in prestigious hospitals, educational institutions, government health centers, etc.

SNDT Women's University B.Sc. Nursing Course Fee: It is approximately Rs.40,000/- (students should confirm the program fee as this may change each year).

B.Sc. Nursing Eligibility Requirements

Age criteria: You should have completed 17 years on or before 31st December of whichever is the year before the current year (so for this admission process it is 31st December 2023).

Educational Qualification: You should have cleared the Class 12 exam (10+2) in the science stream with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in English. The minimum aggregate marks required for SC, ST, NT-DT, SBC, and OBC candidates is 40%. If you are waiting for your Class 12 exam result, then also you can apply for admission.

General Fitness: You may be required to produce a medical fitness certificate on getting admission to the course.

B.Sc. Nursing Admissions Application procedure

You can obtain the application form for admission to the B.Sc. Nursing course on payment of the application fee. The application fee is Rs.800/- for those applying in the Open category, and Rs. 400/- for those applying in the reservation category from Maharashtra State.

You have to submit the following original certificates together with attested copies with the eligibility form if you are applying right after clearing the H.S.C. exam-
  1. The H.S.C. passing certificate

  2. The H.S.C. mark sheet

  3. The school-leaving certificate

OR-
You should have taken English as a subject at the Class 12 level, with any one vocational subject carrying 200 marks, and any three subjects carrying 100 marks each.



If you are a student who is migrating from another statutory University or Board, you will be required to submit these documents-
  1. The certificate of the last exam (the Passing Certificate )

  2. The mark sheet showing marks obtained under each subject.

  3. The Migration certificate from the University Board.

If you are a student who secured admission to the LT College of Nursing after attending any college conducted by or affiliated with S.N.D.T. Women's University, then you only need to submit the transfer certificate.



Note: The admission to the B.Sc. Nursing Course will be provisional till the eligibility is approved by S.N.D.T. University. Applicants seeking admission from the reserved category must submit the Caste certificate of Maharashtra State.

Important dates

The application form for admission to the B.Sc. Nursing Course and the prospectus are available at the college office from 15th May onwards of the current year, until 10 days after the Class 12 (H.S.C.) exam results are declared.

The date of the B.Sc. Nursing Course Entrance Exam is then announced once the Class 12 results are declared.
