B.Tech., B.Arch. Rajasthan Admissions through REAP-2024 – Registration Dates, Fee, Eligibility

This article explains the online registration procedure for the Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process (REAP) that is mandatory for admission to the first year of B.E., B.Tech. and B.Arch. courses in universities in Rajasthan. The Department of Technical Education, Rajasthan has issued the admission notification for registration for the Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process (REAP) for admission to the first year of B.E., B.Tech. and B.Arch. courses for the academic session starting in 2024.
Quick synopsis: A student keen to pursue an undergraduate B.E., B.Tech. or B.Arch. course in a constituent/affiliated engineering college/technical institute of universities in Rajasthan is required to appear for REAP. That is, a centralized counselling-cum-admission procedure is done through the national-level entrance test conducted by the Centre for Electronic Governance (CEG) and the Rajasthan Technical University, which is open to students of the State of Rajasthan. A percentage of the total AICTE-approved intake is kept aside for students from outside the State. Candidates will be shortlisted based on their scores in national-level exams, such as JEE Main/NATA or the marks obtained in the Class 12 exam.
Eligibility requirements for REAP-2024
Age criterion: At the time of posting this article, there does not seem to be any age limit.
Domicile criteria: The domicile status of Rajasthan will be ascertained as per the domicile certificate issued by the competent Govt. authority.
Educational Qualification: For B.E./B.Tech. courses: You should have passed/cleared 10+2 (Class 12th exam) with a minimum aggregate score of 45% of marks with Physics/Maths/Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science/Electronics/IT/Informatics Practice/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational subject/Agriculture/Engineering Graphics/Business Studies/Entrepreneurship as per current AICTE norms.
Marks in the qualifying exam: You should have scored a minimum of 45% marks in the exam (40% marks for candidates of the reserved categories) in these subjects taken together; in the Agriculture stream if applying for an Agriculture Engineering course; or passed D.Voc. stream (NCrF level 4) in the same or allied sector.
For B.Arch. courses: You should have passed the 10+2 exam scheme with at least 50% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Maths subjects and at least 50% marks in aggregate in the 10+2 exam or passed a 10+3 Diploma exam with Maths as a compulsory subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
Additional requirements for admission to the B.Arch. Course: You must qualify the Aptitude Test in Architecture conducted either by NTA (JEE Main Paper 2A) or the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture. The weightage of 50% marks for aptitude tests and 50% marks in the qualifying exam as per norms will be considered for the ranking list and this will then determine who are eligible for admission to the first year of the B.Arch. course.
Priority for admission
For B.E./B.Tech. Courses: The first priority for admission to B.E./B.Tech. courses will be for the rank obtained in JEE Mains 2024 (a minimum of 20 percentile is required), the second for the percentile obtained in the Class 12 exam, and the third will be for the percentile obtained in the D.Voc. in Engineering & Technology course approved by the State Govt.
For the B.Arch. Course: The first priority for admission to B.Arch. courses will be the percentile obtained in the Class 12 exam (50% weightage) +the Higher score of NATA/JEE-2024 (best score of the two will be considered) (50% weightage). The second priority will be given for the percentile obtained in the Diploma (50% weightage) + Higher score of NATA/JEE-2024 (best score of the two will be considered) (50% weightage).How to apply
Candidates should check details at the official websites for admission to the respective courses, register, pay the registration fee, and submit the application along with all relevant documents, mentioning the college choice in the application. Documents to be scanned and uploaded include the Class 10 mark sheet, the Class 12 mark sheet, a recent passport size photo, signature, domicile certificate, character certificate, and the reserved category certificate if applicable (refer to the official website to check the full list of documents).
