About Institute
Lingaya's Vidyapeeth is a private University in Faridabad, Haryana. In 2009, the institute got the status of Deemed to Be University from UGC. It was approved by the Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD) and was accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). It offers various courses for UG, PG, and Ph.D. students. Duration of Course
The duration of the course is a minimum of 3 Years and a maximum of 6 Years. Categories of Ph.D. Students
There are various types of student categories for admission to the Ph.D. program. Details of the major categories are as follows-Full-time
These students will be full-time and regular students at the institute. They will be referred to as institute fellows or research fellows. The Institute fellow will get a fellowship from the institute while the research fellow will receive funding support from recognized funding agencies such as CSIR, UGC, DBT, NBHM, DST, etc.Part-time
In this category, the candidates who are professionally employed in an institute including Vidyapeeth staff can also join the Ph.D. program with the continuation of duties of his/her service. However, they will not be eligible for any assistantship or financial support from the institute. They will have to reside at the Institute for a minimum period of one or two semesters based on the mandatory coursework for a Ph.D. Permanent faculty of educational institutions fully funded by the government or maintained by a public-private partnership model can also join.Eligibility Criteria
For PhD in Engineering & Technology: Candidates should have passed with a minimum of 55% marks and equivalent in M.E/M.TECH with 50% marks in Lingaya's Entrance Test (LET) or GATE score will be preferred.
For Ph.D in Management, Pharmacy and Non-Engineering Disciplines: Candidates should have passed with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent in PG, plus 50% in Lingaya's Entrance Test (LET) or NET/ JRF score will be preferred Or the candidate should have passed M.Phil in the related fields. Selection Procedure
Selection is based on merit and performance during the written test and interview and not merely based on your academic qualifications. A merit list will be prepared Department-wise for admission based on the performance in the Entrance Test.
