ONGC Foundation, a Trust which engages in philanthropic activities in health, skill development, education, etc., has announced applications open for its annual Merit Scholarships worth Rs.9.6 crores. By funding the education of a student who would otherwise drop out of academic studies due to intimidating course fees, these scholarships enable students to forge ahead, pursue a course of their choice, and get ahead in their careers.

The scholarships are offered to meritorious students who are admitted in the academic year 2024-25 for professional courses in Engineering (4-year course), MBBS (4-year course), and those admitted to a 2-year Master's Degree course in Management, Geology, and Geophysics. Only Indian citizens can apply for the scholarships, and a student cannot get the benefits of more than one ONGC Merit Scholarship at the same time. However, a student can get the scholarship renewed once the tenure of that scholarship ends, and can also apply for a different scholarship after the duration of one scholarship has ended.

While submitting the online application, select the correct scholarship scheme, namely, for General EWS students, SC/ST students or OBC students, as applicable. Under each scheme. 50% of the scholarships are reserved for girls. You cannot apply if you are receiving the benefits of any other scholarship or financial aid from any other source.
