Thadomal Shahani Engineering College Engineering Mumbai Vacancy Rounds Admissions 2024-25

Thadomal Shahani Engineering College, Mumbai which is a Govt.-recognized college established by the Hyderabad (Sind) National Collegiate Board, has released the notification for admission to the first year engineering courses for the institute and vacancy round under the University of Mumbai, and also to the direct second year engineering courses (vacancy round only) for the academic year 2024-25.



First Year Engineering Admissions

The courses offered and number of seats as per the approved intake for 2024-25 are-
  1. Artificial Intelligence and Data Science: 120 seats, including 6 seats for NRI Quota.

  2. Computer Engineering: 180 seats, including 9 seats for NRI Quota.

  3. Chemical Engineering: 60 seats, including 3 seats for NRI Quota.

  4. Information Technology: 120 seats.

  5. Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering: 60 seats.

Eligibility requirements

The student should be an Indian national who has passed the HSC exam or an equivalent exam with Physics and Maths as mandatory subjects along with one of these subjects- Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or a Technical Vocational subject or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Agriculture or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies. The qualifying score should be at least 45% marks (at least 40% marks for candidates applying in the Backward class, EWS, and PwD categories belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the afore-mentioned subjects taken together and the student should have appeared in all the subjects in the CET and should obtain a non-zero score in MHT-CET 2024.

The other accepted qualification is a pass in a Diploma in Engineering and Technology with at least 45% marks (at least 40% marks for candidates applying in the Backward class, EWS, and PwD categories belonging to Maharashtra State only).

Fee Structure

The Interim fee structure for the academic year 2024-25 for Institute Level Admission is shown in the Table below-

Note: Students applying for admission having qualified through an exam other than that of the H.S.C. board will have to pay Rs. 300 /- for Mumbai University Eligibility Fees in addition to the above-mentioned fees.

Note: OBC/EBC/EWS/SC/ST/SBC/VJNT students who have been allotted a seat through the Govt. CAP round can avail of the fee benefit on submitting the relevant income certificate/caste validity certificate as applicable at the time of admission. These certificates are mandatory to avail of the fee benefit.
Fees should be paid in the form of a Demand Draft in favour of "Thadomal Shahani Engineering College" payable at Mumbai.

Registration process and Schedule

Students should register for the institute/vacancy Round 1 on 10th September 2024 at
https://tsec.digitaledu.in/modules/Candidate/newCandAdmRegistration.php

Multiple vacancy rounds will be scheduled from 10th September 2024 to 13th September 2024, which is the cut-off date.

Offline applications will be accepted by the college for the Institute Level Round/Vacancy Round from 8th September 2024 onwards till the end of the admission cut-off date.

Direct Second Year Engineering Admissions

The courses offered and the number of seats as per the approved intake for 2024-25 are-
  1. Artificial Intelligence and Data Science: 12 seats.

  2. Chemical Engineering: 13 seats.

  3. Computer Engineering: 19 seats.

  4. Information Technology: 13 seats.

  5. Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering: 7 seats.

Eligibility Requirements

The criteria for candidates of Maharashtra State as well as those applying on the All-India Candidature basis is the same, namely-
Students should be Indian nationals who have passed a minimum 3-year or 2-year (Lateral Entry) Diploma Course in Engineering and Technology with at least 45% marks (40% marks for candidates in the categories of Backward Class, EWS, and PwD belonging to Maharashtra State) in any branch of Engineering and Technology from an AICTE or Central or State Govt.-approved institution or its equivalent.



Other acceptable academic qualifications: A B.Sc. Degree from a UGC or Association of Indian Universities-recognized University with at least 45% marks (40% for candidates of Backward Class, EWS, and PwD categories belonging to Maharashtra State) and passed HSC or its equivalent exam with Maths as a subject; or passed the D.Voc. Stream in the same or allied sector (refer Schedule III); or any other criterion as declared by the authorities.

The Vacancy Round 1 for admission is scheduled on 11th September 2024.
Multiple vacancy rounds will be scheduled from 11th September 2024 to 14th September 2024, which is the cut-off date.
