My interview at Bajaj Allianz for Graduate Trainee

This article is about my interview experience with Bajaj Allianz to work with them at Graduate trainee level. Read to know my experience about Bajaj Allianz and what questions were asked to me by the HR and how I fared in the interview.

Hi Friends,

This is a wonderful platform provided by ISC to share my interview experience. Well friends let me tell you that interviews are generally a nervous affair. There is tremendous pressure to project yourself as the right candidate for the job. So to say that I was very nervous because I am not very fluent in speaking English & lacking in self confidence.

The first round was an online aptitude test which included some basic questions from varied topics like Math, Science, General Knowledge, Accounting, Geography, History. Each question had 4 options from which we had to choose the right one. I realised here that the knowledge that I imbibed from my school days proved more handy that what I learned in college. So I would request you all to go through the 10th standard books on Math, Science & be abreast with the latest happening through newspaper reading.

The second round was a Group Discussion with 10 in each group. This was a total choas. It was like a fish market with each one trying to cut the other. Since my voice was low I preferred to keep mum as I could match the sharp voice of others. The moderator had to tell everone to be quiet. Then he asked each one to place their points one by one. Here too one person tried to cut someone's unfinished point. He was asked to leave the room for being oversmart.

After the GD I had a personal interview with the VP. He asked me to speak something about myself. Asked me some basic question on Insurance. It lasted for 5 minutes.

After 10 days I got my Offer letter. I realised that the people who joined with me were not those trying to be oversmart or genius. Rather they were average performers. So I was request you all to be well informed about the industry you wish to join. Prepare for basic aptitude tests. Be reasonable in your speech. Dont worry if you are not brilliant. Try to be calm & composed. Its difficult but would do you a lot of good. Wish you all the best.
