Armed Forces Medical College, Pune is conducting Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) course starting in August 2009
* Admission is based on a written examination to be held on 3rd May, 2009.
* Interview for successful candidates will be conducted in June.
* Course will commence on 1st August, 2009.
Eligibility : The candidate should have passed all subjects opted for in the 1st attempt of the qualifying examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, with minimum 60% of the aggregate marks in the 3 science subjects taken together + minimum 50% in English + minimum 50% in each of the science subjects + passed an examination in Mathematics in 10th standard.
Criteria for appearing for the Entrance Examination :
(i) Indian citizen / subject of Bhutan or Nepal / person of Indian origin intending to permanently settle in India
(ii) Unmarried candidate. The candidate cannot marry during the course duration.
(iii) Candidate should be medically fit as per the standards stated by the Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India
(iv) Age as of 31st December of the year of application should be not less than 17 years and not have reached 22 years. (Exception – not more than 24 years for candidates appearing for or who have passed the final B.Sc. exam)
Available seats : 25 for girls & 105 for boys
Important Note : Every student is liable to serve as a Commissioned Officer in the Armed Forces Medical Services, which will be dependent on the vacancy available. A parent or guardian of the candidate must sign a Bond Agreement at the time of admission.
