THE TECHNIQUES OF REVISION
· While studying don't neglect your health. Daily go for light exercise, take balanced diet. Have sufficient sleep, proper rest and regular health checkup
· Good behavior and manners gets respect from students and teachers

· Success depends on determination. One who is well determined is always ahead in getting success.
· Knowledge along with presentation skills is essential for getting success. Many surveys revealed more than 80% students lacks theses skills. This skill not only gives success in the exams but also helpful in getting placement.
· Good human relations make the4 student cheerful. For this etiquette & manners are must.
· Every student should visit the library regularly. Here the student will gain knowledge as well as politeness and also introduction with intellectuals
GET YOURSELF READY IN FULLY PREPARED STATE
Next step is getting ready for exams. Knowledge acquired during the past months should now be converted in marks.
· Before two months of the beginning of the exams, students should give importance for consolidation. For this….
o A schedule of model revision should be prepared regarding
§ Total number of subjects to be covered
§ No.of important chapters to be covered in each subject
§ Time to be allotted for each subject
§ Date of exam of each subject
· Instead of completing one particular subject at a stretch, spread it over the period of two months
· Daily revision should consists of different subjects
· Always revise the topics from the last chapter to the first instead of vice-versa
· Spare/allocate 5 days time to meet emergency needs
· Revise the entire subject at the weekend.
· As far as possible plan for a minimum of four revisions
· Give priority to read self-prepared notes.
· Prepare guess questions and answer them. Then discuss your answers with colleagues and teachers

GET READY THE EXAM KIT:
· Before the day of exam…. Refer only the synopsis of the self-prepared notes
· Hall-ticket, exam kit with writing material etc., should be kept ready
· Take light food and go to bed early
· On the day of exam…… Get up early and refer the notes synopsis of important chapters.
· Take light breakfast, get ready with exam kit, so that you can reach the exam center before half-an hour.
· Under any circumstances don't discuss about the exams with any one
HOW TO SCORE HIGH MARKS
Knowing the subject thoroughly will not fetch high score, unless it is presented in the exam properly.
BEFORE STARTING THE EXAM:
· Soon reaching the exam center, go directly to the exam hall without chatting with anyone. Sit in the seat allotted and get relaxed.
· Anxiously don't start answering immediately after receiving the question paper
· Carefully read the instructions given. Note for any changes in the paper pattern
· Check for the no.of questions asked and to be answered and marks allotted for each question. Allot time accordingly
· Underline / Highlight the keywords in each question
· Concentrate on the questions you would like to answer and focus on the same
· Understand the question thoroughly. For eg. Decribing, Critically analyzing, comparing and writing converse points
· Time should be allotted to each question according to the marks and limit of the question
· Some extra time should be left while allocating time
· Order of answering the questions should be planned at the beginning.
WHILE WRITING ANSWERS
· Prepare an outline for the long answer questions
· Write the roll number and question number properly from the hall-ticket and question paper respectively
· Decide the frame work in your mind before writing answer on paper
· Write answers only to the extent of question. Don't write more un-necessarily.
· As far as possible write answers as points. Answers should be straight to the point and brief
· Don't be in hurry while writing. This spoils handwriting. Even you can't understand what you have written. Examiner will not award any marks as he also can not understand illegible handwriting
· Answers should be written in an attractive manner. Write side headings and underline it. Leave margins on the answer sheet. This will make the examiner relaxed.
· In essay type question paper, pause for a minute between each answer. During this pause, focus on the construction and check the written outline
· Keep an eye on your watch. Don't write more than required although you know more. This will take away your precious time for answering the remaining questions
· Don't leave the hall before the stipulated time. Remember that you will do nothing by going outside before time.
· Don't be upset, that the paper is tough. If it is tough to you, it is tough for all. So you are not going to lose extra marks.
· Tag your answer sheets and revise/check your answers 10 to 15 minutes before the exam time ends.
· Points missed if any, should be added according to the situation
AFTER FINISHING THE EXAMS
· While coming out of exam hall after finishing the exam, don't think about what you have written in the exam, instead focus on the next exam
· Don't discuss about the paper or answers with your friends. It may reduce your self-confidence
· After completing all the exams, write down your experiences and views. This will be very useful to you as techniques/tips for the future exams. This will also helps you to reduce mistakes committed in the past and helps in scoring high marks
· Exam moment is the wonderful moment of your yearlong hard study. This is a pleasant moment for those who have scheduled their studies.

Examination is the main botheration for the students and that is also having the effect on the parents as they are also equally worried about the same. But what I suggest that, the students must get ready for the exam from the day one the school or college starts. He knows the importance of subjects daily and some important point of daily portions can be noted in a book. If that is followed every day, much pressure is removed from the mind regarding exam fear.
