Planning a career is most important aspect in life. Career planning is a continuous process throughout the life. One must grow in career and personal life. To grow in both the aspects career planning playing a vital role. And he must ensure that he is doing fruitful to the hired company also.
Choose right Career: There are thousands of career options available in job market. Choosing one among thousand is the imperative task. Do research about the companies and requirements in and around you. Select the best option which suits your skills and knowledge. Before research about the company, research about you, know your skill and interest. So that you can meet a job, which suits your skill, ability, talent and interest. Surely two or more jobs suits your ability and skills, list out all the areas and do research again for best option. Train yourself for the career you opted for.
Is it necessary to change your career? If you are not satisfied with the current job profile or company, you can change your job according to your preference. But it is not advisable to quit a job before getting a confirmed offer with other company. Don't change your job often once in six months or once in a year continuously. It will be a wrong mark in your resume. Start searching for job, If you can feel that your company is running under loss or shut down of your project etc, You don't wait for the worst situation. Better to leave the company before lay off. Do not continue job which you hates it “Never continue in a job you don't enjoy. If you're happy in what you're doing, you'll like yourself, you'll have inner peace. And if you have that, along with physical health, you'll have more success than you could possibly have imagined"
Hold Opportunity: “Jumping at several small opportunities may get us there more quickly than waiting for one big one to come along." Hold the opportunity, do not loose. But it will not come through out the life. “Opportunity is often difficult to recognize; we usually expect it to beckon us with beepers and billboards."
Career Assessment: Evaluate yourself periodically individually and the contribution you contributed to your company. Evaluation and assessment of yourself provides you the position and grading of your career.
