TNAU to offer new UG courses
Tamil Nadu Agricultural University will introduce two new undergraduate courses this academic year.
One is B.Tech. Agricultural Information Technology and the other will be a B.S. Agribusiness Management.
Both will be four-year courses with eight semesters.
Topics
The B. Tech course will deal with topics such as GIS in agriculture, remote sensing of natural resources, computer graphics and GPS in agriculture.
On successful completion of the course, graduates can work as biological database designer, e-learning specialists, commodity trader, farm/plantation manager, supply chain manager, crop insurance manager and the like.
The BS course in agribusiness management will cover management in business research, human resources, agro-food marketing, farm business, intellectual property rights, commodity trading and technical analysis.
Jobs
Graduates can work as agribusiness credit officers, procurement personnel, agribusiness credit manager, supply chain manager and logistics manager.
