This college was actually started in the year 2000. It was first situated at the old airport road near old bowenpally. Later they constructed their own building at Dundigal. Exactly we can say on the way to Dundigal village from Gandismaisamma or Pochampally village. The college was developed in very few years and has also achieved the accreditation by NBA very recently.
Everyone wonder by seeing the name as Aeronautical engineering college, they teach only aeronautics. Actually that was not the reason. The actually reason is this is the first college in the whole Andhra Pradesh which introduces Aero space subject through EAMCET. So eventually the name came like that. This is all about how college came into existence.
The main thing I forgot to tell is the college is affiliated to JNTU-Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University. Most of the colleges in Andhra Pradesh are affiliated to this university only. In Hyderabad also maximum number of colleges is under JTNU. And we count very few colleges under OU-Osmania University for B Tech graduation.
I am an ex-student of this college now. I was a student of this college from 2005 August to 2009 May. I completed my Computer Science and Engineering course from this college. I actually joined this college because it was my Uncle's college. Mr.Rajeswar Rao - the director and treasurer of our college. We are a very good family friends and so my dad insisted me to join that college. So none other option was open to me else to join this. Finally I joined this college. Today I feel proud that I joined this college. When I first joined this college we only had a single building. And approximately when we were in second year or so the other building construction was started. We saw the college growing in front of us in every aspect.
As I joined in the stream Computer Science and Engineering, I was very fond of it. Many of my uncles were Software Engineers. I too had lots of passion on this subject and stream. I like programming. And eventually I was topper in our first year programming subject. I really owe this to our lecturer Mr.Naveen who thought us from the very basic and always was very patient clearing all my silly doubts. Our stream was divided into two sections as the strength was 90 it was divided into 45 each. I was in CSE-A which was a very good class. We enjoyed a lot at the same time has lots of issues. No matter what all happened but I am very happy that I am a part of CSE-A today.
There were many other branches like IT-Information Technology, ECE-Electronics and Communication Engineering, EEE-Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering and Civil Engineering which was introduced very recently.
My cousin joined in Aeronautical Engineering in the year 2001. And when he was passing out I joined in the year 2005 in CSE and then when I was passing out my own sister joined in IT in the year 2008. This college was very lucky to our family as we join one after the other.
We had very good computer labs. There were separate labs to conduct online exams for us. We had one of our sir names Mr.Bashith, he was a complete instructor for our two branches CSE and IT. He used to manage a lot of things. One thing was there with each and every student that it every one was afraid of him. He used to scold like anything. At the same time he even enjoys a lot.
We went to industrial tour in 3-2 semester which was only for name sake. But did not visit any industry. Our principal was so angry with us. Anyways we went to Agra-Amritsar-Dalhousie-Kullu-Manali-Delhi. This was an excellent time we classmates spent together. Out of 45 students in out class almost 37 of them came to tour. And that too we pleased them a lot to come. I and my classmate Chetan were handling the total tour arrangements. But that was a memorable experience. And as I said Bashith sir was very strict we asked him to join us so that no one will misuse this tour. But there sir was enjoying more than any one of us. We did not expect him to be so. We enjoyed a lot in camp fire at Dalhousie Sagarika Resort. And then the tour went like that.
We arranged many events at our college like Technofest-2k8, which was hosted by me and my friend Abhinav. That was the first time I went to college in a traditional outfit, saree. I was very tensed for a moment how to host as I had a stage fere. But I have overcome it to some extent from that time. Miss Sucharitha ma'am was our coordinator for this program. We managed all programs and events like paper presentations, C technical quiz and all. That was held in February 2008.
Our college is best in one thing that is for bringing campus placements. We are grateful to be in this college, because there was no other college to arrange so many placements. At that time Satyam was in hike and that was our first company placement held at Malla Reddy Engineering College. And I am very happy to say you all that I got placed in that. But as of now the position of that company is not good they are not taking any new people. But as it was my first experience I really get excited. I got placed on February 8th, 2009. And then the next day there was another placement held at our campus that is, L&T Infotech. In that placement we were not allowed to attend as we (who all are selected in Satyam the previous day) were already placed. And then Infosys Technologies was held in the same Malla Reddy Campus again. And this is again a happy news for me to say that I am again selected in that company. And I am an Infoscian from that day.
We did our technical seminars, mini-projects and also main projects successfully. I like to thank our HOD-Head of the Department Mr.Ramanamurthy sir for helping us at every step. This is all because I am student of Institute of Aeronautical Engineering. This is all about my college life.
And about my college today, it is one of the best colleges all around that area. They have recently introduced the post graduation courses like MBA, MCA, M Tech. And also the polytechnic course which can be done after schooling.
