Dhirubhai Ambani International School, Mumbai Review My friends daughters attend the Dhirubhai Ambani International School,Mumbai. I remember when they got admission to this school, they were very excited to not just get into a new school but to get into a school with so many different activities. They love taking part in the annual day cultural program, which involves all the students from lower KG to higher secondary classes. The senior school students have a Model United Nations program on a regular basis every year. Some of the students have excelled in inter-school chess tournaments. There is also an annual school magazine, for which all students are encouraged to contribute.
The school campus is really huge with plenty of space for sports and cultural activities. All the classrooms are air-conditioned and have lockers in each for personal belongings. There is also Internet connectivity. There are separate classrooms, too, for non-academics, such as for yoga, karate, dance, music, art, etc. A massive library with infinite books and audio-visual equipment is right on the campus itself. My friends kids just love getting access to glossy story books! A canteen with wholesome meals makes sure the students get their daily nutrition. Doctors and nurses are always on campus for student care. The school even has a special student counselling centre. Sports like football are encouraged for both boys and girls. Other sports include athletics, swimming, badminton, chess, etc.
The school arranges picnics and outstation trips and has opened a campus at Matheran about a year ago.
Some Information about the school: * Admission is based on a written application, followed by an admission test and an interactive session. * Classes are from lower KG to Std.XII * Board: ICSE and IGCSE up till Std.10 / IB for Stds.11 and 12.
