Bombay Scottish School Mahim, Mumbai Review The Bombay Scottish School Mahim is one of the most reputed schools in Mumbai. In fact, this architectural landmark has been around for so long, that practically everybody in Mumbai knows about this ICSE co-ed school. The school has got a very good academic record, not to mention dominating in various inter-school sporting activites. The present Pricipal is Melanie Chandrashekar, a former teacher of the school.
The Campus & Facilities: The quadrangular campus is home to a large banyan tree and there is plenty of space for the students to run around. There is a football ground, a throwball court and an indoor basketball court. For the primary school children there is a separate play area. There are science laboratories for Physics, Chemistry and Biology, as well as two computer labs. A vast library too is present on campus. From Std. 7 onwards, there are interactive boards in each classroom.
Location: The location, at a very busy junction opposite P.D.Hinduja Hospital, is very noisy!
Specials: * The school organises an annual concert and athletics meet, which is compulsory for all students. * The students put together the annual school magazine, Tartan. * The school takes in students with special academic needs. These students have a remedial cell to give them special coaching.
Classes are from pre-primary to Class 10. Admssions are based on a written application.
