P Indra Reddy Memorial Engineering College (PIRM) was established in the year 2002 near the Chevella Mandal in R.R. District. The institute is approved by AICTE and is affiliated to JNTU.

P Indra Reddy Memorial Engineering College offers following Undergraduate Courses

B.Tech courses:

Electronics and Communication Engineering (120 seats)
Computer Science Engineering (120 seats)
Electrical Engineering (60 seats)
Information Technology (60 seats)
Mechanical Engineering (60 seats)

Admissions:

For B.Tech the admission is through EAMCET (Engineering Agricultural and Medicine Common Entrance Exam) - 80% and rest 20% is though management quota.

Features of P Indra Reddy Memorial Engineering College:

Infrastructure is one of the best in the surroundings of Chevella. The college building has ground floor and first floor and has been constructed in a way that the whole building encompasses a big ground which serves as the place for various cultural events. There is one big seminar hall with a capacity of around 250 members which is used for many technical conferences and symposiums. The HODs of almost all the departments are experienced Professors. The placements before recession in the year 2007-08 were good with students getting placed in companies like Infosys, NIIT technologies etc.The technical and the cultural festival of PIRM is well organized. The event is organized in the month of February/March with various events like Technical seminars, Documentary and film making competition along with various other cultural competitions.

Some of the drawbacks are the internet lab is small and can accommodate very few students. The canteen is below par and is open for very little time. The library has very few books of other generals apart from the books related to Engineering.

The college also provides good transport facility connecting various parts of the city. Overall the college is good and a person with rank of around 20000 in EAMCET can opt this college.
