Ghanashyam Hemalata Institute of Technology and Management located on Puri-Konark highway (15 km from Puri), Orissa. The institute is approved by AICTE and is affiliated to Biju Pattnaik Technical University (BPUT). The institute is spread over 152 acre of land and has a secured campus.
The institute offers Degree Engineering (B.Tech) course in various branches like Electronics and Telecommunication, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science. there are 60 seats available in each branch. There is also another department of Basic Science and Humanities. For admission to B.Tech courses they follow BPUT rules. The JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) rank holders are selected for admission to this college. The admission fee for this college is 71,000 Rupees which includes hostel fee also.
The quality of teaching provided here is very good. There are qualified faculties appointed in this college. There are 13 faculties in the Electronics Department, 9 faculties in the Electrical Department, 13 faculties in the Computer Science Department, 11 faculties in the Mechanical Department and 12 faculties in the Basic Science and Humanities Department. They solve the academic problems of students and help them to achieve their goal.
The college has very good infrastructure and a peaceful and healthy environment inside the campus. There are well equipped laboratories and laboratory assistants for each department. The college library has a selected and good collection of course books, magazines. There are separate boys and girls hostels inside the campus. The hostels are furnished and well maintained. There are facilities like TV, gym, indoor games and outdoor games in the hostels. There is also a guest house inside the campus for guests/visitors.
There is a health center inside the campus to provide medical facilities to students. The college also offers other facilities like transport, canteen, extra curricular activities, scholarships. The institute organises different events like annual function, cultural programmes, technical events, social services etc.
The college provides placement facilities to students by organising campus interviews. There is a good placement record of the college. In 2009 many students of this college got jobs in companies like Infosys, L&T Infotech, OCL India, Zen Cybertech, L&G Engineering, SCORPOS Corporate, I-Technology Solutions, Torry-Harries Business Solutions, Satyam.
