Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Pharmacy at Kolhapur is one of the best pharmacy college suited well for coastal area of Maharashtra.It was incepted in 1996 under the most potential leadership and vision of Honorable Dr. Patangrao Kadam, Founder of Bharati Vidyapeeth and also Founder and Chancellor of Bharati Vidyapeeth University,Pune. He foresighted the need for a good pharmacy institution in Kolhapur to cater the needs of the people in this district area and the adjoining Konkan belt.
Thus rural area of south-west Maharashtra mainly benefits from such foundation of pharmacy college in adjoining with Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Engineering that is present near to it.
