Mayoor School, Sector- 126, Noida, Noida Review
Moyoor school is a co-education school in sector 126 Noida. It is affiliated to Mayo College, Ajmer. But we cannot compare these 2 schools. Mayo College Ajmer follows a different set of pattern. They have different houses as a boarding facility with a house warden for each house - like Oman house, Jodhpur house, Bikaner house etc. the building is huge made at the time of British rule.
Mayoor school, Noida is like any other school in New Delhi and Noida, equipped with all the modern amenities like AC classrooms, AC transportation. There are number of buses available that ply to various areas in Delhi, Noida, Gaziabad.
Earlier the Principal was from Ajmer Mayo college - Mr. Vinod Srivastava. He was a faculty member in Mayo, Ajmer. Now we have a new principal from DPS school. She is a lady.
The school organizes Winter Carnival in December every year which is a fun time activity for students as well as parents. There are various stalls put up by students and teachers. Camel ride, elephant ride and various swings are available for students. Sports Day is also celebrated every year in January. There is 100% participation from Junior classes like in Yoga, drill dance and other exercises. Racing of 100 meters boys, girls 200 m for boys and girls is also there. Various kathas are also displayed by students who learn Karate.
There is no hostel facility. The school is from Nursey to XII. They have pre- nursery classes also.
Fee is around Rs. 15000 per quarter including transportation for class 4 if your house is within 10 kms range. Transport fee increases according to distance in kilometers.
Some initiatives like reading news paper in the first period in the class is liked and admired by all. There are various clubs avalible viz Creative writing/Journalism club Cooking Club Dance Club Science Quiz Club Singing Club Art and Craft Club Pottery Club etc. Child can opt for any one club.
Four houses are there to create a healthy competition amongst children. Salil house is one of them.
The school follows CBSC board.
