St. Lawrence High School, Mumbai Review
St. Lawrence High School, Borivali(W) laid its foundation in 1993 and is part of group of school - Ryan Institution Of School headed by the chairman Dr. A.F. Pinto and Managing Director Grace Pinto.
The school offers education from Montessori to Secondary education and has the capacity to accommodate approx. 4500 students. It has attained 100% result in S.S.C Board 6 times in the past 14 years.
Apart from providing quality education with excellence, students are also encouraged to participate in social activities which include Social Service Camp, visiting old age homes, visiting villages. I remember my social service camp which was a 5 day trip to Aurangabad. It was just not a Social Service Camp, but we enjoyed there too with other 5 schools of the Ryan Groups. We had been to a field trip to a village where we interacted with the vilagers. Though we had a strict regime to wake up early at 6 followed by exercise, those 5 days were fun dancing, competing, playing.
St. Lawrence has a huge list of extra curricular activities as well and the students are well encouraged to participate in these activities. From indoor to outdoor, they have time to time competitions of sports, essay writing competition, painting competition and inter school competitions as well amongst all group of Ryan Group and St. Xaviers group of schools.
The school building consists of 6 floors with an well equipped Science Laboratory, Math Laboratory and up to date Computer Laboratory. The library is furnished with 2305 books, magazines, globe and teaching aids.
