Govt. Senior Secondary School, Bambooflat, South Andaman is one of the oldest schools of Andaman. This school is catering education to many students of this area. This village is called as Bambooflat which comes under the district of South Andaman. We can reach this area either by road or by steamer. Everyone prefer sea route because it is hardly 2 km from portblair but in road ways it is around 35km. There are sufficient number of steamers deployed for the transport purpose of general public by the Andaman and Nicobar Administration. Maximum number of teachers are making to and fro journey from portblair. There are vehicle ferry also inducted into the public service by transporting the vehicles from Portblair to Bambooflat and vice versa.
