Holy Mary High School Ferozguda, Hyderabad Review
Holy Mary High School Ferozguda is situated in a peaceful and natural surroundings. The land around the school belongs to army and air force. As such we can find a lot of plants and trees around the school. This gives the place a quite and calm outlook. The school is run from Nursery to tenth class. It is an English medium co-educational school recognized by the government of Andra Pradesh. The school is constituted as an examination center for the SSC examinations held by AP Board of Secondary School Examinations.
The school has well ventilated and well lit class rooms provided with the state of the art furniture for comfortable seating of the students. All the class rooms are provided with the computers LCD TVs/Overhead projectors. The teachers make use of the multimedia including audio and videos in the students learning process. All the classrooms are provided with green boards and dustless chalks to make them dust free as far as possible. The school is very particular about the cleanliness of the classes and surroundings. To ensure fire safety precautions, the school has provided fire extinguisher for each floor.
There is a school computer and language lab with more than 20 computers attached to two servers. All the computers are networked to each other and have internet facilities. In addition to the learning of various core subjects the students interact with the computers in learning languages including Hindi and Telugu. The school management with the help of the students prepare lessons in the computers and educational games for the children to play and learn.
The school provides a safe atmosphere for the tiny tots to play and enjoy with play equipment like merry go rounds, see-saws, slides, tricycles, rocking horses, etc The school has a beautiful garden with over two hundred plants of different spices.
The school also has its own intercom system, amplifiers and public announcement system connected to all the classes and for morning assembly. All the classrooms and labs are connected with CC TV cameras which are monitored through a TV and control equipment kept in the principals office.
The principal of the school is Miss. M. Josephine she is a versatile lady well versed with the school administration. She has the experience of working as a science teacher in St.Ants school at Kazipet and as headmistress of the air-force school Begum-pet, Hyderabad.
