Raipur Institute of Technology is situated around 20 km away from Raipur city near Mandir Hasaud,Chautana.It is affiliated to Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University and approved by AICTE.
In spite of being located so far from city area,it is easily accessible through autos and buses,which pass by at a regular interval of 15-20 minutes.
College consists of total 4 interconnected buildings,comprising of ENGINEERING,MBA,PHARMACY & BIOTECHNOLOGY AND MCA Buildings.
It doesnt boast a high class faculty or infrastructure,but most of the faculty are experienced and qualified.
College holds a wide array of computer,information technology, electronic, power, analog digital and several laboratories in accordance to requirement of relevant departments.
The library facilities are not so good,as you are not allowed to pick up books of your choice from shelf,name of book needs to b mentioned in order to be issued,which is very annoying.
College also has transportation facilities in form of more then 8 buses,with different bus stops covering almost each area in the city.
Hostel facilities for girls and boys are also provided.while Boys hostel is located merely 5 km away from college campus.2 girls hostel were situated in Shanti nagar with a capacity of 20 girls per hostel.
Training and placement facility is OK,but it still doesnt have a record of 100 percent placement.
