Kotwal's School, Secunderabad Review
Kotwal School is a very old school in Secunderabad. It is unique in one respect that it has not applied for upgradation to higher classes fearing interference from the government of Andhra Pradesh in the administrative affairs. Since no Transfer Certificate is required for transfer of children from one school to another up to V class, this school is just running on the basis of its good standards. It is not recognised by the government of Andhra Pradesh. Students passing from this school get easy admissions in higher classes of other schools since the educational standards of this school are quite high.
Though there is move by the education department warning the parents not to admit their children in unrecognized schools, many such schools are doing good business in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. The government gets satisfied by only making paper announcements. In spite of the directions of High court, there are many unrecognised schools being run in Hyderabad and other parts of Andhra Pradesh.
