Sanjivani Rural Education Society's College of Engineering, Kopargaon, Ahmednagar Review
SRES college located in Kopargaon(Ahmednagar district-Mah) is an AICTE approved engineering college affiliated to University of Pune located near the famous holy place Shirdi.
Shirdi is about 25 mins away from the college by rickshaw. This college is graded A which means that the staff and the facilities are good. This college is believed to be a good place to study mechanical engineering because of good staff(Prof . M.V Nagarhalli, Prof . Thakur, Prof. Bhaskar).
Others courses also have scope here but generally people prefer Mechanical Engineering over here. This college is basically located in rural area but with all the facilities (Like internet, talkies) available nearby either just outside the college or 20 mins drive to the main city area. It has hostel facilities for all 4 years (First , second , third and fourth) of engineering.
This college offers diploma courses also but it is more famous for engineering. Placements are sadly not as good as some of the colleges located in close proximity to Pune city because the companies generally prefer not to travel so far from Pune but recently the college has seen upward swing in terms of placement opportunities. So things are looking up now over here. Plenty of encouragement is given to extra curricular activities also and sporting events. The staff in general is very good as compared to some of the other engineering colleges in University of Pune.
