In Andaman & Nicobar Island there are only two Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya schools are functioning, one is at a place callled Panchavati and other one is located at Car Nicobar. These two schools are playing vital role in the progress of rural people. Panchavati is located around 10km from the main bazaar called Rangat which comes under the district of North & Middle Andaman. This school is purely a residential school and having headquarter at Hyderabad.
Selection Procedure at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Panchavati, Middle Andaman:
Every year, application is issued to all schools of rural areas to fill the form for those children having excellent academic records in class Vth. An entrance examination will be conducted in respective exam centres to pick out talented children and they are given admission in class VI th. The selection of candidate is purely depend on the availability of seats in class VIth. Since, it is a boarding school so all children have to stay in the hostel of JNV, Panchavati.

The academic records of this school is excellent. The students of this school show an excellent performance in the academic area. There is a menu which will be followed everyday to supply the food items.

We can reach this school from Rangat by bus or any other vehicle. The school has a good coal tar road so reaching this school will not be problem at all.

Apart from all basic facilities, the school also have a good playground. Here the children used to practice their football skill by playing for tournament. They also play cricket and volleyball. There is a volleyball court, tennis court, table tennis facility, badminton court and many more.
