Shri Guru Govind Singhji Institute of engg and Technology was established in 1981 by govt of Maharashtra. It is approved by AICTE, Govt of India, with a view of imparting high technology education in graduate, post-graduate and research level in various branches.
The institute has become autonomous in 2004 and offers admission to students from all colleges in Maharashtra. The admissions are strictly on merit basis. Presently admissions to following branches of Enginnering are available: Electronics and Telecommunication Computer Science enginering Information Technology Instrumentation Production engg. Civil and Water management engg Textile engg. chemical technology.
Wel equipped laboratories, rich library and one of the most highly qualified staff is the important features of the college. The college has a large and picturesque campus near the banks of Godawari river. Good hostel and gymkhana facillities are available.
Nanded is well connected to all parts of the country by rail, road and air routes. Efficient training and placement division furnishes good employment opportunities to the students.
