Getting admission in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Jaunpur is through a scholarship. It offers free education to students (those who passed in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test and got admitted) with many facilities like accommodation, food, uniforms, books, stationery and anything else required in daily use is free of cost.
The school is easily accessible due to its location, well connected with railway station and bus stops. You will get direct buses for Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Jaunpur.
Infrastructure & facilities School premises is very spacious and provided with each and every facility required for the development of students. Computers, libraries, laboratories are well managed. The playground is large to practice different kind of sports such as cricket, volleyball, football, basketball, kabaddi, kho-kho, badminton, table tennis and other athletic activities like high jump, long jump etc. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Jaunpur has a big auditorium used for morning assembly, cultural functions and tables tennis.
A huge mess facilitated with dining hall for students as well as school faculty caters approximately to 500 students at a time. Food quality is not that good but it's okay. Menu gets repeated every week. Sometimes menu changes for a day as per the function.
Academics and extra-curricular activities At this school, every activity goes on as per time table and this schedule is followed every day without fail. Early morning PT, Morning breakfast, morning assembly, classes, lunch, sports in the evening, evening assembly, dinner and study in hostel room - these are the daily routine practice.
During study time in the evening, it is ensured that everyone is serious about the studies. Students are monitored by house captain on behalf of hostel warden.
This school balances academics with extra curricular activities and cultural events. A cluster gets organized every year in which other JNVs (Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas) from different regions participate in sports and cultural events and compete with each other. This is very good for the students.
This school offers migration of some of students from 9th class to Kerala for 1 year.
Students are not allowed to go out of the boundary of school premises. They are very strict about this rule.
