Gayatri Vidya Parishad College of Engineering, Visakhapatnam Review I am not a student of GVPCE (Gayathri Vidya Parishad College of Engineering). I have participated in the fest conducted in this college in February of 2011 by name Ekathra, which means the unity of all branches. This college is a highly reputed college in Vizag and also in Andhra Pradesh. So, ofcoruse I expected a lot about the colleges Infrastructure, facilities, college building, etc. As soon I reached the college, I was awe-struck by seeing the campus builidng and premises. You may think that I am saying something very positive about this college but its not the case friends. The college builidng is not so huge according to my view. It is a simple building in a rectangular "U" shape with garden in between the two arms of the college.
It may be my expectation which led for my dissatisfaction, but one would definately expect something when he/ she hears that it is one of the top college in Andhra Pradesh. It looked so surprising for me after visting this college. The building looks so huge in size but it doesnt look so attractive. All the branches which are dealt in this college are embedded in the same building. Its not wrong to be combined but that matches a school or junior college environment but not to an Engineering college. Engineeirng life is the best student life observed by me and I feel like being in a good campus that contain memorable moments for us during our study life.
Ofcourse, the disciplinary ways are excellent in this college. Even the equipment is quite satisfiable. But what exactly I feel like is " Education doesnt only means books and discipline, its also about the surrounding environment and the way we lived in it. " When I was participating in the PPT presentations category, I heard one of that college friend saying that our college in not so good for enjoyment. Friends, I would directly ask you without hesitation, could you study in a college where the environment is similar to school in which we had our childhood education for about 10-12 years? We need a change right? And hence I feel that any Engineerig college should have a huge campus with well equipped facilities so that it creates an impression that long lasts in us.
I am not aginst the college and I am happy completely with this colleges academic performance but extremely unhappy with its campus. The students cant even play well in those small grounds present in this college. This is not to hurt someone but I only posted what I and my college friends felt like after visting this college.
