St. Joseph's Inter College, Gorakhpur Review St. Joseph's School, Khorabar, Gorakhpur is a minority English Medium School, established and governed by the Catholic Diocese of Gorakhpur. It is affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi. It was founded on 10th April 1997 with 90 students in Class VI and five members in the teaching staff. It runs classes from Lower Kinder Garten (LKG) to Class XII. Being governed by the Catholic Church, a minority community, the school has the primary objective of educating children of the community. However, we shall not spare any effort in rendering our services to all people, irrespective of religion, caste and creed and gender, so as to conserve their identity, language and culture. The school got No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Government of Uttarpradesh in the year 2000 and affiliation to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi on 25th May 2001 and Permanent affiliation in October 2008. In order to cater to the need of the people around the school it was decided in 2001 to open two sections of the primary class. The first batch of Class X (ICSE) was presented for Board Examinations in 2002 and Class XII (ISC) in 2004. In the past years and in the present many students have qualified meritoriously in the State and All India competitions.
The school aims at the integral development of the personality of every child, to make him/her committed to the service of God and of the nation and to instil into him/her a spirit of compassion, unselfish service, dedication to duty, love for the fellowman and thirst for excellence and wisdom. It will be our earnest effort to give equal importance to the moral development of students.
