Lendi Institute of Engineering & Technology, Vizianagaram Review
I am not a student of this college, but I am completely aware of this Engineering college because it is situated near my College, MVGR College of Engineering which is one of the most popular college in Andhra Pradesh.
Lendi Institute of Engineering and Technology is located just across the National Highway 43 which is the most famous route connecting Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam. This college is blessed with a great personality who is the former Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, MVGR College of Engineering. Why, I specially mention him is because, he is the one who made MVGR College the top most in Mechanical Engineering branch in Andhra Pradesh next to CBIT College of Engineering, Hyderabad. He is the principal of Lendi College right from its establishment. Coming to the college management, it is managed by Sai Dhamam Educational Trust, Visakhapatnam . This trust in very popular in Vizag city for its unique and successful path building principles and hence this college is a known trademark for maintaining excellence in education.
This College is still not completely developed since its not an old college. It was established in the year when I entered into Engineering, i.e. in 2009 probably and gained good response in these few years. The college has excellent transport facilities provided. It has a good campus in area but not so good extension. All the branches are situated in the same building block which is the major backlog in many of the present Engineering Colleges. The college administrative building is still being developed from then. Since, it is a trust organised college, some of the features are additionally provided for its college students for better reasonable rates. The best example is bus facility from both Vizag and Vizianagaram through the highway 5 and 43 for very less fees.
This college needs to build much more reputation to meet the requirements of many companies which come to hire the engineers in the name of campus recruitment. I literally mean that this college has no major campus placements presently unlike MVGR College of Engineering or Raghu College of Engineering situated just at a few distance of 2-3 kilometers from this college. Hence, it needs to cope up quickly with the present trend so that it can withstand the competition from about 700 Engineering colleges of Andhra Pradesh. The major aspects which I think that are needed to be improved in this college so that it runs on the right path are mentioned below.
The college needs to complete all its constructions as early as possible.
This college needs to strive for accreditation from reputed organisations like ISO 9001 or NBA, New Delhi, etc so that it will be given a higher rating.
The college needs to maintain cleanliness and proper gardening to give a beauty so that it provides recreation and zeal to improve their studies for students.
