Good: Teaching staff of few departments like Anatomy, Pharmacology, Pharmacology, ENT, Medicine and OBG. New OPD with clean environment and better facilities. Canteen and Hostel.
Bad: Teaching staff of few departments are lazy and irresponsible. Some HODS are either too strick or too lenient. Dogs are seen around the campus sometimes, Sports section is not good with no required playing stuff.

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Medical College Hospital, Bangalore Review
This Medical college named after Bharatha Rathna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was established in 1981 under the aegis of Ananda Social and Educational Trust by 9 founder Trustees.
In May 1987, the college moved to its own campus at Kadugondanahalli. The elegant and imposing college building with its beautiful architectural design attracts the attention of all visitors. It is well planned and accommodates the Administrative block, Trust office, Ananda Co-operative Bank-Extn. Counter, Central Library, Pre-Clinical and Para-Clinical departments and a modern OPD Block.
The college runs MBBS course as well as post-graduate courses in many subjects that are recognized by the Medical Council of India.
Central Library: A well stocked, state of the art central library provides a superb knowledge database to cater to Undergraduates, Post-graduates, PhD students as well as the staff. The well trained and dedicated library staff understand the needs of the students and guide them in accessing the literature they need.
Hostel: The college runs a hostel each for the men and women students of the college within the campus at Kadugondanahalli. The hostel buildings with spacious rooms, lounges, recreation room having colour television sets in each of the hostels, with all other modern amenities, are built to ensure comfortable stay of the inmates, and a proper atmosphere for study. The women students hostel, with a view to ensure absolute safety of the inmates, is fenced properly and secured. A new girls hostel was built in 2010 with all required facilities in the same campus.
Hospital and OPD: The college has its own 560 bedded hospital situated in the campus catering to the needs of weaker section of the society and also to satisfy the requirements of Medical Council of India, a statutory body which offers recognition to the Medical courses run by the college. The hospital has most of the specialties including pharmacy, blood bank and physiotherapy to suit the current needs of the patients attending the hospital at an affordable price. The attendance of patients at both out patients and in patients department has been excellent providing a perfect teaching and learning environment to the Medical, Nursing and other Paramedical students in addition to clinical research.
I being a final year student can tell with my experience in this college and hospital, that its a very good college with good teaching staff, supportive and friendly. The in-flow of patients is good, giving better opportunities for the students to learn different cases(diseases).
Apart from Education, every year sports meet for one week is conducted in which both students and doctors participate and later awards and medals are distributed. Similarly, every year our college fest is conducted usually during the end of the year, filled with lot of entertainment which goes on for three continuous days.
Development from past 3 years:
A new OPD was built in the year 2008 in the same campus, with a beautiful design attracting attention of public being situated close to the main road. The New OPD has met all requirements required by the MCI, with spacious corridors, well equipped instruments, pharmacy, auditorium for conducting seminars, minor OTs, different blocks for each department and free consultation.
The old OPD is renovated into a well designed Research and Laboratory center, with clean and hygienic environment. High quality instruments and devices are present for various tests, a separate department is provided for Radiology which includes X-ray, CT scan, MRI scan etc.
Also, a new girls hostel was constructed in the year 2009 in the same campus and the old girls hostel has been attached to the Hospital providing more beds to the hospital.
A new canteen was also constructed the same year. The college had no canteen before it. It is kept hygienic with filter water and clean habits of workers in preparing and serving food.
