VISAKHA VALLEY SCHOOL, VISAKHAPATNAM Review


Visakha Valley School is one of the best schools in Vizag. The school is one of the oldest schools in the city which was established in 1969. It is a private English medium school with a governing body. The District Collector is the ex-officio Chairman of the governing body with other members of the body. The school is spread over a very large area with spacious buildings in several blocks. And each block is given a specific name.

The school is located in the best location between two hills and facing the Bay of Bengal and is an ideal location for an educational institution. The school is adjacent to Indira Zoological Park and near Kambala Konda Wild life Santuary.

The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education. The strength of the school is nearly 2000 with a good number of teaching faculty who are well experienced. There best part of the school is its transport facility with nearly a dozen buses which run in each and every part of the city. And this is one of the added attraction of the school. The conductors and drivers take extreme care of the little kids.

The school runs in two shifts with classes 6 - 12 in the I shift and the timings for the shift are 8:15 a.m to 1:40 p.m. While classes LKG - 5 run in the II shift and the timings of the shift are 10:15 a.m to 3:30 p.m. The schools is very good in sports activities and excellent extra curricular activities with a stress on music as well with a separate music teacher and also work experience teacher. All the teachers are very friendly and ever helpful to the students and guide them in the right direction for the over all development of the child.

The schools conducts periodic parent-teacher meetings for a better interaction between the parents and teachers. The school even celebrates Annual Day and Sports Day once in every two years which is celebrated at a grand scale and thus encourages the young budding talents by giving them an opportunity to showcase their talents to the public. It even releases school magazines from time to time and thereby provides a platform for the young talented writers to contribute their writings and thus helps in improving their writing skills.

The other facilities of the school include a very big playground with a basket ball court, separate computer lab, big library room and a canteen in the school campus. There is a separate block for the kindergarten with lot of play activities.
