This school works under the roof of Delhi Public School Society (DPSS). DPS R.k puram is known for its academic background and its world class infrastructure. This is the school which tops the list of schools in Delhi. This is the most prestigious school which any student wants to study. Yes taking admission here is hectic process because of number of people applying for it and there hard admission process.
Connectivity
School is having very good connectivity with bus road and nearest bus stop is R.K puram bus stop and this bus stop is around 100m from the school campus. Although the school can be accessed from rail and airway too but both of these modes of transportation are very far from the school lot of private and government transport vehicle ply on the road on which school is situated. You can take auto and manual auto rickshaw at reasonable price. Several paid taxis are available near the railway or any station which will take you to the school. One famous taxi service is the ‘Radio cabs' and they accept the cash and credit card both for payment.
Infrastructure
As I already said school comes in top schools in all over India, so they have very good infrastructure and it is ineffable. A large amphitheatre having capacity of more than 400 people is there. Various facilities like a huge library with national and international volume and e books are also there. There is no restriction on using library. You have separate academic blocks for seniors and juniors. The laboratories are well equipped and separate for both seniors and junior classes. Hostel facility in the school is good and proper care is taken for the students to avoid any type of jeopardy to the students. 24 hours power backup and security is available inside the campus. A very large canteen is present inside the campus and the food there is all right.
Sport facility
School is having decent infrastructure with lot of modern facility. Extra facility like swimming, taekwondo and skating facility are available. Other things are same as other schools like basket ball, volleyball, tennis court etc. but they are of standard is very good. School is having indoor sports facility like table tennis, squash, soft ball and gymnasium. School is having a yoga teacher for meditation and yoga. Avery large cricket and football ground is there in the school campus. School is having lot national and international sports events and lot of students from this school went to international games tournament too.
Transportation
Dedicated transport facility of their own is there. Buses ply in different part of the city to cater the students from different areas. The buses are decent and well maintained. Special buses for small children with care taker are there. But the demands of the transportation are compensated by the fact that lot students come with their own transportation like parents dropping them to school.
Entertainment activities
Lot of cultural activities is organized annually by the school. School has its annual function every month of December. Apart from it lot of other programs are organized by the school. Lot of students of the school was selected for national and international level competition like quiz last year. Functions like alumuni meet are also conducted by the school and meetings are arranged for students with industry gurus.
Outdoor programs
Exchange programs are organized in school. Students from other school are selected to come for some time to study and student from this school also go to other school for gaining knowledge. In Sumner outdoor camping like going to hill station or other picnic destination regular visit to destination like national laboratory are also organized.
Academic background
Last year or I can say every year lot of students scores percentage above then 95% in board exams. Lot of students from this school even tops the top entrance examination of the India. The reason for this is that they have very strong curriculum of teaching with very experiences and dedicated faculty. Apart from regular classes, school also have coaching classes for 12th class students in school only and that too free of cost. So you don't have to join the any coaching institute. Pass percent of the students is also good and last time it was above 94 percent.
Hangout zones
There is no special zone for going because many markets are around the school. Amusement park in Delhi is the nearest place to enjoy and spend your good time. There are mall too but the most visited place by the students in this mall is cinema hall.
Fee structure and school timing
Fee structure is pretty high for common man but it is right because the academic and other facility which school offers to the students. School also gives chances to some students with exemption of fee and full scholarship to them.
School timing are very normal as in other school.
For junior students nursery to 5th class 7.30 A.M opening and 12.00 P.M closing with half hour break between.
For senior students 6th to 12th class school timing is 7.30 A.M to 2.00 P.M with half hour break.
