Aes Public School, Erumapetty Review


Introduction


AES Public school is owned and managed and run by Abswar educational society. The school is started functioning in the year of 2003. At the starting time this school is known as National school, but due to some government issue the name is changed to AES public school. In the school student is prepared to face All India secondary school Examination (AISSE) based on the CBSE pattern. But the school is not yet affiliated to CBSE because of dispute with state Government about the NOC (no objection certificate) issue. The management takes much effort to get the affiliation to the school.

Location


This school is located in Erumapetty Grama panchayat inThrissur district at the heart of Erumapetty town and is safely away from the din and bustle of the town. The campus is spread over more than 4 acre land with green nature that enriches the minds of children and enhances their physical and also mental growth. The building consists of KG block of about 3000 square feet and also main block of about 11500 square feet. And also present a prayer hall for girls with 1500 square feet.

Teaching


The teachers are good quality in taking class, and they are very much friendly with students. And they behave like a mother of the students. So the students feels homely atmosphere in the school also. The student of the school is evaluating on the mode of two assessment, they are formative assessment and summative assessment. According to the new scheme of CBSE board Academic year is divided into two terms in this school. And there are two formative assessments and one summative assessment in each term. Formative assessment is used by the teacher to continuously monitor student progress in a non-threatening and supportive environment. It can improve student performance tremendously while raising the self esteems to the child. The summative assessment is the terminal assessment of performance at the end of term. A pen-paper test is conducted by the school at the end of each term. And the evaluation of paper is will be done by school teachers on the basis of marking scheme provided by the board. The academic level of the teachers is not up to the mark. Anyhow they have tried their level best to make the children to at their best.

Admission


Students who wish to obtain admission in this school must register in the school office during working hours and obtain an application form and duly filled it and submitted in the office without delay. The short listed students will be intimated for an informal meeting along with their parents and are then requested to complete the formalities of the admission. The school has classes from KG section to eighth standard. Eligibility criteria for taking the admission in various classes listed below.
LKG- Age should be 4 in the month of June that is the starting month of academic year. It will require copy of birth certificate with original and 6 passport size photographs.
Std I- The age should be 6 as on 1st June
Std II - This onwards transfer certificate from the previous school that student was attended along with progress report and 6 passport size photographs.

Uniform


Uniform for boys in LKG are pink T-shirt coffee brown shorts with pockets and loops for belt. Black shoe, pink socks, and for girls pink T-shirt, coffee brown box pleated short skirt with loops for belt. For UKG section in the case of boys peach T-shirt, maroon shirts with pockets and loops for belt ad for girls peach T-shirt, maroon box pleated short skirts with loops for belt. For the class 1 students, in the case of boys blue check half sleeve shirt, navy blue short with loops for belt, in the case of girls blue check half sleeve shirt, navy blue box pleated pinafore with loops for belt and pocket inside, also black shoe and navy blue socks. For the boys from class 2 to 8 have blue check half sleeve shirt, navy blue pant with pockets and loops for belt, in the case of girls from 3 to 8 blue check Kameez chines neck with flair, navy blue socks and black shoe, and also navy blue mufta.

Transportation


Students are provided with good transportation facility in this institute. And they have to pay the charge according to the distance travelled. There are more than 8 vehicles owned by the management for the facility of transportation for the student.

Library


The library consists of good number of collection of books of so many authors and also manuals, journals, and news papers. And this will help the students knowledge and as well as language.

Class room


Class room are with large space, anyhow most of the floor is not well furnished yet. But they provide digital classrooms and computer labs for helping the children to acquire knowledge on the respective fields from the primary level.

Co curricular activities


The school conducts so many co-curricular activities to improve the student not only for draw out the talents and aptitude of the student but also inculcate the sportsman spirit, and also making them more disciplined and organized individuals.

Arts and sports


The school provides facilities for both indoor and outdoor games athletic, literary and cultural activities. School has a vast ground and has good number of playing material. There is no auditorium and hence for the functions like annual day they made a temporary stage to conduct it.

Discipline


The school follows strict discipline. The students will not permitted to bring any kind of books other than school books, and also radio, transistors, mobiles, pocket computer etc. The student should follow the proper uniform in the school. The students have no permission to leave the campus without the sanction from the Principal.

Religious education


The school provides religious education according to Madrassa pattern for Muslim students and also moral science for others.

Fee structure


Admission fee for this institute is Rs 5000, and registration fees of Rs 250. For KG section the school demands Rs 3750 in the mode of fees for one year, and which can be paid in three installments. For the class 1-5 the fees is Rs 4250 and this also can paid as within three installment. For class 6-8 the fees is Rs 4500 and this also can be paid as installments. And they demand onetime special fees Rs 500 for the purpose of exam and all celebration. They also give free education for the eligible student from the poor family.

Timings


School is started functioning from 9.30 am to 4.00 pm. And have lunch break from 12.15 pm to 1.15 pm.
