Jamnabai Narsee School Academics The school offers education from Lower KG to Std.XII. There is approx 1 teacher for every 45 students who are following ICSE/ISC curriculum & 1 teacher for 25 students opting for IGCSE/IB.
The toddlers in Nursery, Junior and Senior K.G. are exposed to formal and informal learning activities. Music and physical education are incorporated along with lessons in the basics of alphabets and numbers.

Jamnabai Narsee School Discipline There is very strict discipline in the Jamnabai Narsee School. Students are warned not to use offensive language & are not permitted to eat chewing gum. It is great to know that the school administrators do not allow students to bring mobile phones, i-pods and gimmicky gadgets like laser pointers to the school. A fine of Rs. 1500/- is imposed on any student found with a mobile phone. Students are not even allowed to bring any story books from home or an outside library. If a student is found to have broken any school rule, he/she may face a loss of credit which was given for an assignment. On days when there is a physical education class, the student is expected to wear the requisite uniform.
Jamnabai Narsee School Facilities and Infrastructure Every spacious classroom is Wi-Fi enabled. The school has a music studio for both Indian and Western music. Students can learn to play the sitar as part of a hobby class. There are also separate dance studios for students to learn India dance forms, such as Bharat Natyam, and Western dance styles too. The school has its own in-house amphitheatre and auditorium with state-of-the-art audio-video equipment. There are separate labs for physics, chemistry and biology. The library is well stocked with story books, newspapers, periodicals, etc. In addition, there are computer rooms too with a computer for each student. The school even has a resources centre. This is a unique feature of the school, which was set up for students with special needs. There are 11 experienced teachers in charge of this centre. The career guidance centre was set up last year to give career guidance to those students who opt to study the IB curriculum. The spacious school cafeteria has a modern look and is very bright & airy. Nutritious food is served and it is extremely clean and hygienic. Sports facilities are provided for football, cricket, handball, baseball, badminton, basketball, rugby, swimming, indoor games, etc.

Houses Each student is a member of one of the 6 houses which is identified by its colour: Tagore (Yellow Ochre), Mahatma Gandhi (Green), Swami Vivekananda (Prussian Blue), Akbar (Light Yellow), Einstein (Sky Blue), Lincoln (Red). The house students compete fiercely in inter-house competitions, including debates and sports.
Clubs There are a wide variety of sports clubs for all students. The club activities are held on a daily basis from Monday to Thursday, mornings and evenings. Clubs include those related to sports, such as badminton, football, base ball, basketball, hand ball, cricket, etc. Students of Std.I onwards have yoga club activities.
Hobby classes Students can attend hobby classes, starting from Std.V. Some of the hobby classes for Std.V and Std.VI students are calligraphy, clay moulding, fabric painting, folk dance, dramatics, science experiments, yoga, etc. Those who are in Std. VII and Std.VIII can, in addition to those mentioned earlier, attend Girl Guides & NCC (Std.VIII). The school also has 2 bands and a choir.
