School which comes under Jharsuguda district has been the torch bearer in academics in the Jharsuguda district. One of the finest ICSE school in the area. In terms of Academics, sports, discipline or achievements it has always shown the par above results . Belpahar English Medium School has always been the center of excellence since 1976.
The school is about 22km from the Jharsuguda city and about 5km from the nearest railway station, Belpahar. The school comes under the Tata Refractories Limited industries. students from Bandhabahal, Thermal, Belpahar, Gumadera, Rampur and Brajrajnagar area which comes under the radius of 10km comes daily to the school. school doesnt provide any means of communication for boarding or droping. Students had to arrange for their transportations.
School conducts competition and tournaments with the other local schools of the belpahar town every year. Saturday is a half day of the school, various indoor comeptitions and outdoor matches like cricket, football, volleyball, tennis touranaments are conducted between the different houses. These houses are the categories under which all the students are categorised and different houses have their own house color. There are four house which are coloured Blue, Green, Red and yellow.
School has a big playground of size nearly about a standard cricket stadium. Students are advised to come prepare for the daily assembly and prayer in this ground. Students come prepared with NEWS and Thoughts of the day acording to their turn.
Fees for the TRL employees are lesser to the non TRL employess.
Fees for non TRL employees is around 750/- a month. The amount may have increased now.
School Timing: 7:10am to 1:40pm.
