DAV Public School, Bandhabahal, Jharsuguda Review
One of the oldest school in the Bandhabahal town and also among the few good English medium school. School which comes under Sambalpur district has been the torch bearer in academics in the district. The school is about 30km from the Jharsuguda city and about 10 km from the nearest railway station, Belpahar. The school comes under the Mahanadi Coal field limited mining industry. students from Bandhabahal, CWS colony, Belpahar, Gumadera, Rampur and Brajrajnagar area which comes under the radius of 10km comes daily to the school. school has its own means of communication for boarding and droping. Buses to all the roots are available and are always functional. Transportation cost is extra apart from the tuition fees.
School conducts competition and tournaments with the other DAV Public schools from east and north east parts of India and also some local schools called Hansraj tournament. Saturday is an activity day of the school, various indoor comeptitions and Havans are performed on this day.
Yoga classes, Physical training classes and SUPW classes are must till Vth standard students. School has a big playground of size nearly about a standard footbal stadium.
