Introduction
PSG College of technology was founded by PSG and son's charities trust in the year 1951. PSG College of technology is an ISO 9001:2000 certified institution and also attained Autonomous status in the academic year 1978 – 1979. PSG College of technology is one of the top colleges in Tamil Nadu.
Location
PSG College of technology exactly located at Peelamedu in Coimbatore district, Tamil Nadu. It was around 5km from Coimbatore Airport, 8km from Coimbatore Railway station and around 10km from Coimbatore city bus stand.
Infrastructure
PSG College of technology is also named for its Buildings. College almost covers area around 40 acres in the center of city. College also contains Libraries and Canteen inside the campus. College also provides individual hostel facility for boys and girls.
Courses
PSG College of technology offers 18 courses in Under Graduate and Post Graduate category. Syllabus is designed as per the current scenario in the industries and in top universities across the world. The courses in this college are recognized all over India and the world.
Libraries and Laboratories
College has library of four floors which consists of thousands of books related to subjects. Library also contains hundreds of Magazines, periodicals, research papers, etc. Digital library facility is also available.
Laboratories are equipped with highly sophisticated items. Most of the labs are computerized and they are well maintained. Computer labs can accommodate the entire student with some standalone systems.
Teaching Faculties
Most of the teaching faculties are well experienced and also well versed in their subjects. Other than teaching staffs there is also visiting staffs who are well experienced in Industries. Teaching staffs are always there to guide the student if there is any need.
Extra-curricular Activity
College provides a very well balanced education in terms of studies and Extra-curricular activities. Each department in this college has to conduct a technical event every year. Culturals are also organized by the college where talented student can showcase their talent. KRIYA is a National level technical symposium conducted by this college every year.
Placement Cell
Almost 90% of the students getting appointment letter from Nations top MNC's in their hand before completing their graduation. Through Placement Cell College offers training on soft skills and placement oriented training.
Transport Facilities
Since college is in the center of the city it can be accessed by every mode of transport. By city bus it takes around 20mins to reach the college at the rate of around 10rs. Students who wish to go by auto or taxi can also reach college by 15 min. Since Airport and Railway station are nearby college there won't be any problem for the students who were in hostel.
I will definitely say yes if someone asks me about choosing this college for their graduation.
