Kumaraguru College of Technology, Coimbatore Review
Kumaraguru college of Engineering (KCT) is in Coimbatore affiliated to Anna University and formed by shakthi group. Shakthi group took all kind of initiative to develop this institution to a higher lever which is well supported by hi-fi infrastructure and very good placements.
Infrastructure
The college is having separate block for IT, computer sciences and other courses.And also it had well defined lab for mechanical and automobile courses. A separate food processing lab is maintained for Food technology course.
Facilities
The unique course Aeronautical engineering course is available and the other facilities include hostel facility with good food, wireless internet facility ,KVB bank with supported staff almost all the time, ATM ,a wide area swimming pool, very good canteen, AC auditorium, very good play ground, GYM, sports and music room , ganesh temple and hospital facility is provided for the students for 24 hours.
Faculties
Here the faculties with M.Tech graduates are only allowed for mentoring B.tech graduates. Faculties provide complete support for the students, especially in computer lab they provide very good coaching. Lots of practical assignments are given to the students so that they get technically well acquainted to the programming language.
Placement
The one big advantage in taking up Kumara guru College in counselling is the placement facility. They have tie up with many service oriented companies, product based MNC which attracts many students. They provide off campus facility for many in and around college. Almost 98% of the students are getting placed in this college.
Special Course
Aeronautical engineering, fashion technology and textile technology are the rare courses which are provided by the institution and also well supported with placement facility. And these courses got good feedback from students.
Library and Music facility
There is a very big library maintained in the campus which is having lots of books for all the departments including fashion and textile technology. And the other salient features that is well supported by the institution is the music class both vocal and instrumental are given coaching to the interested students.
Organising symposium
KCT is very famous for conducting symposium. They conduct this symposium every 2 year once and where all the students will actively participate in all the programs and also some special technical programs like paper presentation, quiz are conducted for the other college students. In one way this symposium reveals the talent of many students and also help to develop teaming and other activity.
Conclusion
Selecting this college is a boon for students so that they will get placed and they will come out with flying colours. Fees structure seems be very much affordable since it is affiliated to Anna University that attract many students when compared to other deemed university
