About the College
Professor Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad, is the founder, Executive President & Managing Trustee of Maharashtra Academy of Engineering & Educational Research(MAEER),Pune. This institution provide quality education in the field of Marine Engineering. Today lot many products are imported and exported from one place to another and it is work of Marine Engineers/Deck Cadets to perform this job safely. So in terms of knowledge you have great option to explore the world. Faculties are performing their best in their subjects to provide best possible quality training to cadets in field of marine engineering, nautical sciences, naval architecture, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, applied sciences & information technology. They too have shipboard experiences so they communicate properly with the cadets.

Libraries
B.Tech marine engineering has a collection of nearly 7000 books to inculcate the knowledge of the professor and cadets. Library is open on all working day. Working hours is: Monday to Saturday from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Rules and regulation of using Library services Only two books will be issued to a cadets for 7 days. Suppose a cadets submit the book after 7 or above days then a fine of Rs per book per day will be imposed. Some books in the Library have a "Reference Selections" so they are strictly for Library purposes. These books can be read in Library itself but could not be issued.
Hostels
Hostels at Manet is one of the most important part to build up a confidence in cadets. Manet has made it mandatory for cadets to stay in hostels itself. There is separate buildings for Girls and Boys. Strict rules and regulations are followed in order to avoid any misuse. Nutritious food are provided to cadets to stay healthy. Water supply is given 24 hours in the hostels.
Sports
Different types of indoor and outdoor sports are help in campus from time to time so as to inculcate talents in cadets. This college have well equipped Gymnastic area and different field grounds like volleyball, football, cricket, basket ball etc.
Courses offered: 1)B.Tech Marine Engineering which is a four years program. 2)B.Sc. Nautical Science which is a three year program. For admission to the college: You need to apply for MANET-MET Examination whose forms are available from first week of January. You should not be more than 25 years of age as on 1 August when new session starts. Also only unmarries candidates are eligible to apply for it.
Academic Qualification: It is same for both B.Tech and B.Sc.
1)At least 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and 2)At least 50% marks in English either in Class X or Class XII.
Placement
Till 2011 Manet placement has been cent percent that mean as soon as you qualify the forth year course then then you will get placed at Indian and Foreign shipping companies.
