Sree Vidyanikethan engineering college is the best private college in the Rayalaseema region in Andhra pradesh.As per the dream of Chairman Dr.M.Mohan babu to provide best educational facilities in backward region rayalaseema, Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering college was started in 1996 with an intake of 180. Now the intake has grown exponentially to 1683 in the academic year 2012-13. It is offering 10 B.Tech programs and 8 M.tech programs. College has started 2nd shift polytechnic from the year 2009-10. College is accredited by NBA and has agreements with multinational companies like TCS,IBM etc. College is determined to enhance the technical abilities and development of student in all categories and make him a perfect citizen of India. College is given Autonomous status by the UGC, New Delhi from the year 2010-11.
Infrastructure
Sree Vidyanikethan engineering college has an excellent infrastructure in 30 acres.It was built in complete green surroundings,trees. Greenary was maintained through out the campus. There are well built spacious buildings built according to the norms of AICTE. There was pleasant atmosphere maintained well suited for the studying. There are spacious Hostel buildings for boys and girls along with mess which provides delicious dishes to the students. Hostels and College are well connected by college buses.
Transport Facility
College is located on the NH-205 in between Madanapalle and Tirupati. It is just 14 kms away from famous pilgrim centre and temple town Tirupati. It is well connected by road with availability of buses every 10 minutes and auto rickshaws to Tirupati. College is providing Bus facilities to students with their 20 buses to different areas in Tirupati.
Facilities at the College
Auditorium
College has two auditoriums, one is Dasari Auditorium and Other is Gopalrao auditorium. Dasari Auditorium is air conditioned auditorium with 450 member seating capacity where most of the seminars, conferences and guest lectures are held. Gopal Rao auditorium is a small auditorium which is used by the students for general purposes.
Library
College is providing a world class library which has about 69,000 volumes of books. Library is started 15 years ago and fulfulling the needs of thousands of students and faculty. It is maintaining good textbook-student ratio. It has also connected Digital library which can access 199 journals of IEEE, open sources, numerous number of CDs and books. This has been giving excellent support to the student. Library is open from 8.00 A.M to 6.00 P.M.
Computer Centre
College has a well equipped computer centre with over 985 terminals with suitable softwares well connected with 6.5 MBPS leased line. This computer centre is available for students from 8.00 A.M to 8.00 P.M

College has highly talented and qualified faculty to teach the students and help the students to reach their goal in their Life. There is a Head for every department who are PhD holders. There are Professors who have many years of experience. Many of them have completed their PhDs, remaining are pursuing them. They really teach very well, helps students in clearing their doubts and to reach their excellence in studies. Strict discipline is maintained in the College campus. Dress code is also strictly applied in the college premises.
Placements
College has placed more than 95% of the eligible students in different multinational companies. Multinational companies like TCS, Wipro are the main recruiters. In 2011-12 batch around 450 students are selected in campus recruitment. There is a placement cell which help the students to face the interviews. Sree Vidyanikethan engineering college was accredited by TCS as a B grade institute.
Extra curricular activities
Students are equally encouraged to participate in Sports and other cultural activities. There was a large play ground to practice. Every year Sports championships are held internally in the college. Every year during the college day, freshers day many students participate in cultural activities. Recently they are planning to conduct a Cultural Fest every year in the college.
Canteen and Tuck shop
There is a big canteen provided in the college campus, where there are facilities for students to eat. There many items and dishes are are available for students at affordable price. There is a tuck shop too, where students can buy academic accessories inside the campus. Canteen and Tuck shop are available at the timings of the classes.
Bank
There is Andhra Bank in our college campus. All College fee transactions are done through this bank. So there will be direct access to the scholarships of students, Students can open accounts, withdraw money. Money transfer will be easy with the facility of Banking. Bank will be opened according to timings of Andhra Bank.
Conclusion
Sree Vidyanikethan engineering College is one of the best educational institutions in Andhra Pradesh with excellent lab, library , faculty and infrastructure. I suggest every student who want to persue good technical education may consider this college as one of their choice
