VRS college of Engineering and technology is located in between Madapattu and Arusur village Which would be five kilometers from Arusur. This college stands at no.1 position among all other engineering colleges in Villupuram Zonal. Vrs is having its name for the oldest college in Villupuram district. But whats bad in it is its location. It is located in national highway so there is no other go expect using their college bus. Only few buses are stopping at that spot. Since it is national highway there would be a great noise produced by heavy vehicles. VRS college is having its garden inside where students can have their studies in peaceful mind. Also this college is equipped with well furnished laboratories with hygienic toilets. Every week, meeting is arranged with students to tell their feelings about engineering and their valuable feedback are considered.

V.R.S College of Engineering and Technology is providing bus facilities for nearby rural as well as urban areas. The Bus facilities covers, Villupuram, Tirukovilur, Virudhachalam, Ulundurpet, Kallakuruchi, Mangalampettai, and Pondycheery.
Academic Activities
The engineering education of V.R.S College of Engineering and Technology is quite outstanding. Management is arranging students meeting every week to get their valuable feedback. Further, students are asked to judge the teachings of lecturers and actions are taken on those who are not teaching well. V.R.S College of Engineering and Technology prefers only experienced staff who must have sufficient knowledge in Engineering Field. They are also conducting interview for more than 2 hours to recruit lecturers for their college.
Infrastructure
Buildings are designed with aesthetic architectural works with complete glass building for office. Separate blocks have been given to each departments and they are given special training. All the class rooms are equipped with hi-tech camera to watch the students activity that is interconnected to principal cabin. College is also equipped with well furnished library and permission to access library is given to all students. Campus is equipped with Wi-Fi connection and passwords have been shared to final year students for making it useful for final year engineering students.
Admission
Usually admissions are opening on June to August of every academic year. No donation is allowed and seats are given only on merit basis. 50% of seats are allotted to Anna University chennai and remaining are given permission to admit students by themselves. Students who achieved this college through Anna University Counselling have the average cutoff of 180-190 range. Management is admitting students who are having cutoff of more than 175. No recommendations are allowed for admission of students.
