Hill Top School, Jamshedpur Review
Introduction :
Hill Top School is located in the city of Jamshedpur, Jharkhand and is primarily known for its high academic standards. The school is a co-ed school and is affiliated to the ICSE board and offers education upto std X and XI,XII level. For std XI&XII, students can choose between Commerce and Science-have choices between bio and maths.
In recent years the school has shown great improvements in the academic standards with over 40% of the students answering ICSE, getting 90+ marks, which has made this school best in telco colony.
Academics:
ICSE results in past few years have been excellent. The topper in the year 2010 scored 98.0%, followed by 98.2% in 2011, and 97.2% in the year 2012. The ISC results have been equally outstanding. And in 2011 the ISC topper(s) had secured the third place in the country.
With high emphasis in academics, the teaching quality has always been excellent. The students are give assignments and homeworks which are corrected by the teachers and help improve overall studying habits.
The school also has the latest technology for teaching. With a completely modern and up-to-date Computer lab the school provides best computer education. The school is also powered by the Edu-Comp smart-class system which is relatively new in India. Such type of education helps the students to learn better and in a more jolly environment.
Co-curricular Activities:
The school emphasises on overall development of a child along with the studies. Various opportunities are given to the students to learn various skill and improve. There are contests and competitions held round the year where students can participate and enhance their skills.
There is a special club activity class where students can choose their own activities and participate in them. These include: Art, music, dance, maths, computers, literary- english and hindi, crafts, etc.
School also participates in various Inter-School events. Many of our Students win laurels in such events.
Sports:
Sports is given prime importance. Every class has a Physical Training period where they are allowed to play, relieving the students from the mental strain from studying and refreshing the day.
The Annual Athletic Meet is held every year. One of the best events include the March-past competition where the senior students participate. The students practice round the year for this event. And the Hill Top Marching contingent is considered one of the best in the city.
Discipline:
Discipline is like one of the inherent qualities of our students. From primary clsses itself, students are taught how to behave well and carry out themselves. During the school hours the school is observed to be quiet.
Students from various classes are included in the school council which includes the school captains and the school president himself. They hep maintain standards in the school and also assist in organizing various events. Together they keep discipline in school and work as a team.
Principal:
Principal Mrs. Puneeta B. Chouhan is a friendly person and takes interest in the welfare of the students. She herself is a prolific English teacher. Her personality is inspiring and there is much respect among the students for her.

Hill Top School with its good reputation and increasing fame among the people of Jamshedpur is one of the best options for people wanting a good formal education for their wards. The school thrives to be the best school in the region and has so far managed to keep up to its goal and as its motto says : "We are reaching High!"
