Government Engineering College, Palakkad Review
I have been a student of Government Engineering College, Palakkad since 2011.
It is one of the major engineering colleges in Kerala. This college has four B.tech branches and one M.tech Branch. The present Principal is Vidyasagar sir.
About social services - the N.S.S unit of this college is very active. A successful attempt to clean and repair the Taluk Hospital, Mannarkkad, Palakkad as a part of Punarjjani project was conducted in December 2013. A state camp of N.S.S about Energy Conservation is going to be conducted in January 2013. The participants of this camp include two student representatives and one program officer from more than 150 technical colleges in Kerala. Program officer : Ali Akbar
The college also has units of two major leading technical organizations, F.O.S.S and I.E.E.E. These two units actively conducts seminars and workshops for improvising technical skills of the students.
The Students Union 2012-13 which is elected by the students is ruled by Students Federation of India acquiring all the seats and they are actively working for the welfare of students.
An additional bus has been purchased by the P.T.A solving all the transportation issues of the students. Now there is a total of five buses for the college which connects to all the four directions of the college.
