Sri Aurobindo Montessori House of Children, Hyderabad Review I became a part of this preschool after being inspired by Montessori philosophy and also it was close to my home. Although my kid was enjoying and learning, I always had a doubt and many unanswered questions. Whenever I had an interaction with the school authorities or staff, their attitude was weird. Right from the washroom to eating snack or lunch was an issue for them. They have a quota to use the washroom for the tiny preschoolers and the caretaker (aaya) has statistical data of the child, like how many times they have used the washroom in a day, but the authorities do not have the data of students when he has joined, how old the child is or what they speak (mother language of the child) and their development!!
So my questions here to the authorities is: What is a preschool? Why are we coming to you? What is Education? Just numbers, operations, alphabets, phonics or maps? This is not the education I was looking for my child. I was fascinated by the methodology and joined him for the preschool, but you all are just taking advantage of the child's caliber and minting money.
They claim that it is one to one teaching and follow the child individually, but no, it does not happen. They take kids in group for the so called presentation, just like traditional method the group age difference is months (eldest/youngest of the group). This group has the smartest kids and they are under the creamy layer of the staff and the kids who are not smart enough are given to the inexperienced or low caliber teachers. They not only grade the kids but also the teachers and the way they treat both is the same. Here I want to ask: is it ok that you grade the child according to their smartness, but who are recruiting the teachers? Why are you taking in such teachers whom you are treating low? Why?
We (parents and You) are preparing the little ones for their future. You are not teaching rocket science. So please DO NOT GRADE A CHILD.
