The Air Force School, Delhi Cantt, New Delhi Review
The school is located just beside Dhaula Kuan, New Delhi, which is a prime location. The school is inside the Western Air Command area. It is one of the two Senior Secondary Schools run by Air Force Educational Society located within Subroto Park.
The school gives proper stress on extra-curricular activities. Maximum students of the school are from Air Force background, which is quite natural. The school is affiliated to CBSE upto XIIth standard. Three streams, viz., Science, Arts, Commerce, are available at +2 level. The Board results are well above average.
The school has a big playground and the students utilize it in a proper manner. The library and the number of books and periodicals available in the library are really impressive. Stress is given on various extra-curricular activities. A student of the school can join NCC. The teacher-student ratio is good in primary, secondary and senior secondary levels. The school employs a student counselor for counselling the students. A contractor-run canteen and a book shop are there in the school premises. Facility of sick bay along with a full-time nurse and doctor is also available in the school. The transport system is very good as the school has its own fleet of buses. The students are transported in the school buses, Air Force buses as well as in DTC buses requisitioned by the school.
However, the school has its own hostel within its premises. the condition of the hostel is good and it is properly maintained. The wards of outstation Air Force Officers and staff use this hostel. This is an added advantage for the needy students of the school.
