Hindu School, kolkata Review
Hindu School is one of the oldest and best educational institutions of Kolkata. The school has historical significance and is associated with legendary Hindu College (later renamed as Presidency College). The school is located opposite to the Presidency College and its arch-rival Hare School in Kolkata. This is a Government School (X+II level) wholly funded by the Education Department of Government of West Bengal.
For more than 150 years, many students of the school have made the country extremely proud of their achievements in various fields. Despite having limited space and other facilities (like many other Government schools of West Bengal and other parts of the country), the results of the school is continuously awesome. In fact, many parents with adequate means to send their children in expensive public schools would prefer Hindu School, provided their wards get admission in the school. Needless to mention, the admission process is extremely tough.
So far as other facilities are concerned, it is clearly mentioned that the school suffers from space crunch. There is no canteen facility in the school. The scope of pursuing extra-curricular activities in the school is also limited, like any other Government school.
Summarizing the review, it can be said that Hindu School is well know for the academic excellence of the students for more than 100 years.
