History of School
This school is established in the early 80s by two sisters named Sridevi and Bhoodevi as a English private school starting from LKG till X class. Since the medium of education was English in those days and as the quality of education imparted was very high children of the rich class used to join and slowly as the name of the school became familiar in the masses most of the middle class family children started joining the school and in a few years it became one of the top private schools in Warangal District. Students in and around warangal joined the school.
Transformation of the school
The school maintained a high standard of education and the results achieved in the X class was 100% each year. The high light of the school in those days was each student used to speak in English and it has a very big campus. The school won many prizes, awards and rewards at different levels. The school band used to make news at every occasion it played the band. The school band used to be chosen to represent the games at district level and also for various events.
The district collectors office used to invite the school band and marching contingent to the collectors office to be the official contingent for Independence day and Republic day. This was a big achievement reason being there were many other schools.
Over the years the school has been transformed from being in tiled rooms to its own building and also various games and activities were introduced. I remember from my experience the PT master Mr. Charles and he is an ex servicemen and very disciplined person and hearing his name fear would run in our blood. The school gave me an opportunity to excel in sports and other cultural activities besides studies. one can never forget the way the subjects are taught. The most difficult part was the home work to do and the holidays home work after the exams. This was a night mare for all the students.
My Experience
I have joined the school in 1982 in 1st class and was there till 1992 when i finished my class X with first Distinction. I have almost spent around 10 years in the school right from class 1 till class 10 and had a wonderful time in the school and is never forgettable. The advantage for me was that we three brothers were in the same school and also seeing us many in our area joined the school. The biggest advantage for me was that the bus stop was right in front of our house because our house was facing the highway. When we missed the bus my dad used to drop me because his work place was near the school.
We used to have a lot of fun while traveling in the bus to school and making fun of every one. we used to reach to the school well before time so that before assembly we could play. we also learned the art of bunking the school. there was a rule in our school that if we reach the school after the morning prayer is finished then we were not allowed to enter the school and when ever i wished to escape the school i used to change two or three buses and reach the school late and since was not allowed i used to return home and used to give lame excuses to my mother and after few moments every thing is as usual and i used to go for playing out.
Since i had friends in my class from the same area in the evening i used to ask their books to write down the notes of the day and do my homework so that the next day i am not punished. During interval time we used to play a lot specially cricket and foot ball. we also used to play hide and seek and we used to maintain groups and very often there used to be some kind of clashes among the groups.
As the years passed by some of us became good friends and our bond became very strong. It was during my class X that we became very serious about studies and we in fact scored good percentage and made our parents proud.
We used to enjoy the PT classed and the last period because i used to teach the juniors in the band to play clarinet and every day i used to wait for that period. It would be fun if any of our teacher did not turn up and most of the time we used to get punishments because of making noise.
Some of my favorite teaches are Thomas miss , Charles sir , dharshan teacher ,sarojini teacher etc. some of the funniest moments happened in the class rooms. I used to enjoy the English class because it was take by Bhudevi madam who is the sister of the school principal used to make us sit underneath the tree like that of shantinekatan of Ravindranath tagore. Since ours was a co education we used to sit together and used to make a lot of fun.
How can one forget those school days and the fun and learning we had. Any one joining this school had this in mind that they can successfully clear the class X exams and that actually proved.
Because of the bond we created even after so many years say about 15 years we are all in touch with each other. I can never forget the life i had at this school. those wonderful years and memories.
