Introduction
Mahatma Gandhi Inter College is Hindi medium college. It was established in the year 1909. The college is affiliated to Uttar Pradesh Board of Highschool and Intermediate Examination. It conducts classes from class VI to class XII for boys.
Location
The college is located in the prime area of city of Gorakhpur. The college is at a distance of 2 km from Gorakhpur Bus Depot and at a distance of 2.5 km from Gorakhpur Railway station.
Infrastructure
The college campus is situated in area of 11 acres of land. 3 acres of land is used for constructing academic institute and residential buildings for employees. The institute is designed on the pattern of old architecture. The academic block consists of main block, science lab and computer lab. The campus has a large area for play ground, tracks,parking and seating area. Also, hostel building of 28 rooms is developed in the campus. Facilities are provided in the hostel such as TV room and study room.
Extra-curricular activities
The school organises various sports and co-curricular events every year. The students can participate in cricket, football, hockey, volley ball and basket ball. The school also encourage the students to participate in art and craft competition, debate competition, writing competition, quiz competition, singing and dance competition to increase their confidence. NSS and NCC camps are organised for students. At regular interval , physical training and yoga is practised.
